Sexual Health Services in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Telford/Wrekin have a new website
A comprehensive list of clinics and services is provided on the website, as well as information about contraception and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and a ‘Book Online’ feature for all areas. Another feature on the website, which hasn’t existed on previous versions, is the option to view clinics on a map, which allows the user to find out what clinics are available to them in their local area.
A service user consultation shaped the colour and design aspects of the website. The previous OpenClinic logo used in Shropshire, Telford/Wrekin and South Staffordshire was retained as many service users in these areas said that they recognised this logo in the consultation. Aspects of this logo were incorporated into the design of the website to strengthen the brand.
Ease of use was a priority when developing the website, which has a clear and simple design. Icons have been used to make sure the site is accessible and easily navigable by all users, including those whose first language isn’t English and people with a low reading age.
The website is responsive to many types of device (including mobile phones, tablets, laptops and desktops) and is built to be accessibility friendly, as per Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
